Xpress Payment Solutions Limited, a fast growing fintech company in Nigeria has distributed learning materials to pupils of Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, GRA, Ikeja Lagos in a bid to facilitate easy and continuous learning and as part of activities to mark Customer Service Week 2019.
A statement from the organization said this action was a step in the fulfillment of her CSR objectives, one of which is to facilitate and promote easy learning among schools in Lagos State.
Speaking to newsmen on the rationale behind the initiative, the Team Lead, Xpress Payments Customer Service, Annette Nwokedi lauded the efforts of her team members towards the realization of the objective and stated that the initiative was a by-product of the customer Service Week.
According to her ‘the initiative was born out of our desire to do something different, such as giving back to society. We had different alternatives but since charity begins at home, we though to start with the closest school to us. the feedback was amazing, the pupils were extremely delighted and grateful.”
Speaking further, Nwokedi explained that Xpress Payments is intent on contributing her own quota to the development of the country’s education sector and is optimistic about the possibility of lending a helping hand to other sectors of the economy such as health or
Meanwhile, the Head-Mistress, Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School commended the humanitarian activity of the company and called on other private establishment to borrow a leaf from XPSL saying that such altruistic efforts can only improve the standards of education in the country.
The gift items shared included; pencils, biro, erasers, rulers, notebooks
and other learning aids.
